Sustainability has long been a fashionable buzzword for strategists, but a new poll for SPS reveals that it is now having a concrete impact on the formulation and delivery of strategy. We asked what place sustainability has within strategy and by far the majority of visitors to the SPS website indicated it had a central role. Some 40% said it was a major part of strategic planning, while 37% said it guided the whole strategy.
However, not every organisation has embraced the concept, as one in ten say it plays only a minor part and a further one in ten said sustainability was an entirely separate consideration.
This month we ask: How are employees involved in strategy formulation? To take part in the poll, click here.
