Experts speaking at this event will include Professor Bob Garratt. He is one of the UK’s leading authorities on corporate governance. He is Visiting Professor in Corporate Governance at Imperial College London, a company chairman and an experienced consultant on organisational development and strategic thinking as well as on corporate governance.
The seminar will also hear from Professor Charles Baden-Fuller of Cass Business School, and editor of Long Range Planning, and Ian MacDonald Wood, chairman of the Strategic Planning Society and director of FutureValue. They will shed light on the concept of business models and their relevance in business. They will consider where models fit in terms of business strategy; review the current application of the concept in UK corporate reporting; scope the challenge companies will face in complying with the new UK Corporate Governance Code, and explore and discuss practical aspects in the definition and articulation of business models.
