This summer the SPS will be launching a research programme, following the fifth annual Strategic Value in Corporate Reporting Awards on 14 April 2011. The programme will examine the part strategy plays in the effective use of narrative in corporate reporting.
It will focus on how strategic thinking and planning can be communicated within an annual report, in order to enable directors and investors to make better assessments of the prospects of the business.
The research programme will begin with an introduction to six key themes in this area, and a brainstorm to initiate debate and the flow of ideas. We will then create micro sites and individual workshops to explore each theme.
The SPS will hold a one day conference to explore the themes and ideas with a larger audience, and host a virtual conference to engage an international audience.
