When the Society was founded in 1967, its focus was on long-range planning. Business strategy had then yet to emerge as a distinct management science. In the early 1980s the Society was a contributor to the birth and early steps of business strategy. We now need to re-define our continuing role in assisting the adolescence of this management science to help shape strategy’s maturity. It is this that has led to our revised strategic framework.
It is now available for members to review and comment. We will discuss the new framework and its implications at the Annual General Meeting in London, and we would welcome your participation in the discussion to help refine the framework either at the AGM or by email: email@example.com.
