In the spring of 2011 SPS began to introduce new membership types with the aim of establishing a career-related ladder of recognition for strategists. We introduced Fellowship for experienced strategists, who are entitled to use the post nom title FStratPS.
More recently we introduced Associate Membership for students studying strategy at participating universities and business schools. In the near future we plan to introduce Qualified Membership for academically qualified strategists who require more experience before becoming Fellows.
We have simplified our membership structure by the removal of Club Membership, replacing it by a discount Corporate Membership rates for qualifying organisations in the educational, public, charity and not-for-profit sectors.
We have also introduced new levels of Corporate Membership, varying according to the number of nominees:
- 1 Nominee (for sole practitioners / freelance strategists)
- 3 Nominees (for SME’s only)
- 6 Nominees
- 9 Nominees
- 12 Nominees
Organisations with Corporate Membership receive a package of benefits, and each nominee receives the full benefits of regular individual members, plus the right to apply for a Fellowship upgrade as a nominal additional cost.
