There has been an excellent response to our members’ research over the past month from a large number of members. At the time of writing, over 120 members have kindly taken time to share their thoughts about the future of the Society.
“It has been tremendously rewarding to get so much insight from the members, and all this input is placed right at the heart of our thinking with the executive development group and the Trustees,” says Vincent Rousselet, Interim CEO.
A key finding is that members today assign most value to Long Range Planning, Strategy Magazine and the website library of strategic articles. Looking to the future, the top three activities members would like to see are a CPD framework, a series of webinars and the activation of international groups for SPS.
To complement the research, a second wave has now started with recently lapsed members to understand what benefits and activities would draw people back to the Society. A third wave, reaching the members of the SPS LinkedIn group, is also in preparation. Its objective is to better assess how to convert individuals with an interest in networking virtually into full members.
The full results from the members’ research will be shared with SPS members at the EGM on 4 February 2013.
