Following its Conference at Saïd Business School, Oxford, UK earlier this year, the SPS has been studying how to move forward towards its goal of establishing a global community in strategic management.
The Board recently adopted a strategic plan, co-authored by Trustees Llyr Jones and Colin Tuckwell, as a working document for taking the Society forward. The plan covers steps to improve services for members as well as options for quickening the pace of creating a community for strategic management. This includes exploring in practice whether merger with an organisation(s) with similar goals would serve our strategic purpose.
We will keep members actively informed of our moves forward, including details of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) – which we are hoping will be globally linked – to discuss our evolving plans for the future.
