SPS Ireland launched
SPS Ireland will be formally launching at an event on Wednesday 6 July at 6.30pm in the Stephen’s Green Club, Dublin. The event will be informal, allowing members get to know each other. We will also discuss high-level co-ordinates received from the SPS board of trustees, our local/regional interests and needs, and form an initial steering group. SPS members are entitled to discount entry to a new conference from Public Service Events, called Lean government 2011 – raising public sector productivity on 22 September 2011. Launch of SPS overseas branches LinkedIn groups
The SPS is pleased to announce the launch of three new LinkedIn groups to support the development of our three pilot overseas branches: Ireland, Brazil and Turkey. Within the first month there was a phenomenal response, with over 170 members signing up in Turkey, over 180 in Brazil and almost 100 in Ireland. Peadar Duffy, leading the creation of SPS Ireland says: “We are delighted with the calibre of those signing up and we have already seen some interesting discussions. The next step we would like to see is for them to join SPS Ireland itself.”
