SPS has reviewed and rationalised membership types and introduced new ones. We have also been busy reviewing the benefits associated with each type of membership, adding new benefits and simplifying the pricing structure.
Individuals can now join as Associates (for students of strategy), Regular Members (for anyone with an interest in strategy), Fellows (for experienced strategists) and even as Corporate Members (for sole practitioner / freelance strategy consultants). Companies and organisations can join as Corporate Members. Qualifying organisations get a 50% reduction in membership rates. This replaces Club membership which is being scrapped. Key member benefit changes are as follows:
Corporate Membership – was until now only available to larger corporate clients. We have now introduced a scale of corporate membership levels designed for the sole practitioner / freelance consultant, through to the large corporate. Prices vary according to the number of nominees: from £250 for 1 nominee to £2,000 for 12 nominees. Nominees get the full benefits of regular membership and the organization also receives a package of benefits including the right to use an SPS Corporate Member logo, be featured in a directory on our website (being developed), list job vacancies for free, discounts on our advertising rate card, discounts on training courses approved by SPS, network online and offline, attend our events, co-develop events and research programmes and more. Fellowship – was introduced in the spring of 2011. Approved fellows are experienced strategists and are entitled to use the post nom FStratPS. Fellows get all the benefits of a regular member, plus this extra recognition. Fellows will also get a free highlighted listing in our membership directory (in development) and the opportunity to publish research papers and take part in research programmes. SPS views fellowship as a level of quality assurance and as such will be seen as a requirement for those wanting to have courses or other services endorsed by us, and to tender for the development and/or delivery of products and services required by our clients. Fellowship can now be paid in four equal instalments by direct debit. Get Full Details
